I am a staff physician and researcher at Boston Children's Hospital within the Department of Pediatrics, where I am also an instructor at Harvard Medical School.
My research studies the strategic management of innovation with a focus on biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship. Recent work has examined barriers to technological change and how organizational environment shapes both the amount and type of innovation produced.
I received a Ph.D. from the MIT Sloan School of Management with the Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management group; an M.D. from Harvard Medical School; and a B.S./M.S. in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale. I completed my residency in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco and Boston Children's Hospital/Boston Medical Center. Prior to my academic career, I worked in management consulting with the Boston Consulting Group.
